How Jesus Christ Taught Us To Pray

Firstly, let me ask you this simple question that I believe 90% of the people knew about. But I just want to remind you in case you foWhatrgot or not aware about the meaning.

What Is Prayer?

Im will just answer this now with simple explanation. Prayer is the way we are using to communicate with our creator.

Hope you know the creator? God almighty is our creator. And His name is Jehovah according to the word of God. Hallelujah!

As children communicate to their Father that exactly how you are communicating with God in your Prayer.

No matter any how or method you use to pray Him. He is able to hear your voice as a father to child.

Jesus taught people in His sermon and teaching that we must be praying.

Jesus Christ always going out in the morning to pray even before His disciples wake up. This does not mean He don’t want them to know how to be praying too.

Not at all, Jesus is not stingy. But it is just a lecture for them also to know that it is very important to find time to pray.

In this post I want to make something clear to you about the way we are praying now.

Some people believe that if we are shouting is when the prayer will be answer very quickly.

Not in that way but let me cover these two ways we are praying to God. Which are:

  1. Praying Louder
  2. Praying Silently

Praying Louder

The Bible let us know clearly that there is time for everything. Which is very true and that is exactly about the Prayer we are using to pray.

This is not bad if you are praying and other people hearing you even this also encourage others. Because we can also found this in the book of Daniel 2.

Daniel is a Prophet of God that always keeping the commandment of God. But in the time of Darius king.

Some of the chieves gathered their selves for the king to make a strong law. Because those people hate Daniel.

Why do they hate him? Because he is true man that serving God with his heart. Because thy have already did a meeting to rope him with unnecessary thing to arrest or to kill him.

Daniel 6:5-9

5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion [to bring accusation] against this Daniel except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

6 Then these presidents and satraps came [tumultuously] together to the king and said to him, King Darius, live forever!

7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the deputies and the satraps, the counselors and the governors, have consulted and agreed that the king should establish a royal statute and make a firm decree that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, except of you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions.

8 Now, O king, establish the decree and sign the writing that it may not be changed, according to the law of the Medea and Persians, which cannot be altered.

9 So King Darius signed the writing and the decree.

The king didn’t even know they planned this because of Daniel. Daniel is one of the person that have a good habit and behaviour before God and people.

This people knows that nothing else they will use to attack him except if they use their hypocrite wisdom to harm him with the religion he loves.

That is what also happening in the life of people today. If your enemies seeing the glory of God in you. The way to wreck you down is what they will start looking for.

Let’s see what happened next.

10 when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house, and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he got down upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.

Daniel still have a strong faith in God almighty that no evil plans shall Successful against him.

Am not using this to tell you that you can be praying in that way. I will not recommend to be praying louder prayer in your room.

Because this may disturb others except if you are with your prayer partner(s) or in the Church.

The time you are in Church or with people together. Then you can raise up voices together but make sure you and your partners doesn’t disturbing others. Pray and be careful.

Praying Silently

This is the kind of prayer you can pray when you are alone.
You can pray to God and people will never know you are praying. Let’s check scripture.

Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.

Jesus also let us know the importance of silent Prayer. But if you pray opening is not a sin, since your mind is pure.
You are not praying because you want people to know you are a prayer person. Not a sin.

Like I said earlier, there is just time for everything. You can not just start praying louder raising your voice in the midnight in your room. It is not good except if you are in Church or a place where there will be mighty rain of prayers there.

Because people already know “That is the place of prayer”. That is different.

But according to my research in spirit. Praying in your heart is also a good communication between you and God.

If you want to eat in your room. You need silent prayer not to raise your voice so that people can also hear that you are praying over your food. Smiles.

So, no one among the two to be neglected. Even sometime I use to cast out demons out of people with silent prayer. I always using it as my great prayer of victory in the realm of my spirit.

You will learn more about the best and good way Jesus instructed us to pray a prayer that bring good result for us in the next post in Part 2
